Singapore Jazz Festival 2016 – Incognito

Incognito fans were treated to one hour of Acid Jazz Funk heaven when they performed at Marina Bay Sands, Singapore on the second day of Singapore International Jazz festival 2016.

This is my second concert of Incognito. I first heard them back in 1993 when I was living in Jakarta. I had a friend who told me about this group from England that were not quite jazz or not quite R&B, but their music was great. He played the “Positivity” CD for me and I was hooked instantly.

As usual, they were excellent from start to finish, performing all their hits and lesser known classics – such a connection to the soul, true music which goes all the way through your veins and you just can’t stop smiling!

I am still baffled as to why Incognito are not acknowledged more in the music world. Bluey’s artistic talent and flair for bringing together fine musicians from all over the world gives the audience a variation of songs and instrumentals that leaves you wanting more from this fantastic band.

Cheers to Brazilian funk!
