Singapore Sea Games 2015: Basketball

The semi-final match-up for the men’s basketball event sees the top three teams from 2013 alongside Indonesia fighting for the gold medal. Here is a preview of the Men’s Semifinal.

Singapore lose 87-74 to Indonesia. Indonesia outmuscled and out-hustled Singapore to secure their place in the gold medal match of the men’s basketball tournament at the SEA Games on Sunday, June 14.

Philippines, which has dominated Timor-Leste, Indonesia and Malaysia, defeated Thailand 100-68.

The Philippines continued their near monopoly on regional men’s basketball but not before they were given a huge scare by a plucky Indonesia side in an enthralling SEA Games gold medal game on Monday. In the final match, Philippine’s Men’s Basketball Team was showered in a spray of gold confetti as they took home the SEA Games Basketball Gold for the 17th time after a 72-64 win in their finals match against Indonesia.
