Under the hot scorching sun of Sepang F1 International Circuit, Malaysia, the Ride With Me Track Day 2018 was held on 5 May.
Wisnu Haryo Yudhanto, a Singapore sports photographer, just got lucky to had a chance to shoot the event. Together with his two other buddies, Barry Seah & ST Wong from motorgrapher.com, travelled from Singapore to Sepang Malaysia the night before and stay at the AirBnB little pretty house near the circuit.
Planned to travel light due to the nature of the event. So only used one body and one lens for this event. This time he brought the Canon body 5D Mark III as usual and equipped with 70-200mm f/28L lens.
Although this is not his first time to shoot the race photography (he shot the Singapore F1 race event more than once), but this is his first time to shoot a moto racing event. And this was the first sport event that he shoot abroad. So exciting!
The race day was not so bad as we thought. It was sometimes cloudy and windy. So lucky for us. We arrived at the circuit at 8am when the racers were having a briefing. We set-up our gears, computers, even the GoPro for our BTS video and head down to circuit before 9am. Then we positioned ourselves at the track side and ready to rock n’ roll!
However we didn’t spend long at the track. It was fun and challenging to keep up the speed with the racers.
We started shooting at 9am and before 2pm we managed to get back to the AirBnB, Get a hot shower, upload and back up the pictures, nice lunch meal and get back ready to go back to Singapore with the evening flight. Here are some of my favorite shots. Hope you enjoy the photos!
