Drift Day at Singapore MotorFest 2019.
Late post on Singapore Motor Festival at Changi Exhibition Center Singapore. Singapore Motorfest was first created in January 2019. With passion and enthusiasm, it was carefully planned by a group of local Bikes & Cars enthusiast and held successfully in April 2019.
This is their event that held in 9 & 10 November 2019. It was the event that featuring all types of car, bikes, truckers, vintage retro bike and cars meet, new and used bikes and car sales and accessories, a lifestyle and food bazaar, as well as live music concert, and.. Drifting session!
Drifting is a driving technique where the driver intentionally oversteers, with loss of traction, while maintaining control and driving the car through the entirety of a corner. Drifting is traditionally done by clutch kicking, then intentionally oversteering and counter steering.
This is the moment that I highly anticipated as I love Sport Photography. I was having too much fun testing out the new Canon EOS 90D that just released during that month in Singapore. A perfect moment to try out the beautiful Canon APS-C camera with its tracking focus ability. Drifting is a popular motorsport which provides many great photo opportunities for the aspiring racing sport photographer.
I enjoy drifting immensely – there are few automotive pursuits to photograph that contain so many exciting and spectacular moments in such a short time frame. Cars sliding around impossible bends and tight corners, the smell of burnt rubber and smoke coming out thick from the rear wheel are all part of it. Welcome, to the world of drifting. Â
